URBAN PLANNING
The architecture of a city provides it with not just with character, but a history. The older the city, the more varied the architecture. City buildings provide a sort of strata, providing glimpses into the past. By juxtaposing images of buildings in a particular city, I can take the viewer on a brief foray back into time. New construction placed next to old clapboard structures, industrial brick buildings and fire escapes next to modern skyscrapers--all leave their indelible mark on a city’s timeline. Urban Planning aims to highlight the shapes, angles, and forms of a city’s identity.
